  • HHSD will be opening two feeding sites, Crooked Billet and Hallowell Elementary. Our hours of operation will be Monday from 10:30am-1:30pm and Thursday from 4-6pm. You will receive 5 days worth of meals at each pick-up so families only need to come once per week!     It is not necessary to be enrolled in the free and reduced cost lunch program to participate in the meal programs through the end of the school year. If you are interested in free/reduced cost meal programs, please visit for details.

    Pandemic Electronic Benefit Program (P-EBT) The deadline to apply for eligibility for this program was May 28.

    Families of school-aged children certified as free or reduced eligible will receive $5.70 for each school-aged child in their family for each day school has been closed since March 16, 2020. Based on when we closed and the last student day of school, the benefit will include 65 days.


    The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) is working closely with the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) to provide the necessary information for all free and reduced eligible school-aged children. DHS will issue the P-EBT card to the households. For families with school-aged children currently directly certified through SNAP or TANF, the P-EBT benefit amount will be loaded on their existing SNAP or TANF EBT card. Families directly certified through medical assistance with qualifying income who do not otherwise have an EBT card will receive an EBT card specifically and solely for this purpose.
