About Me
I started playing the violin in 5th grade at North Dover Elementary School in Toms River, NJ (near the Jersey Shore). I was involved with many school, regional, and state orchestras. I have a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Music Education from Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia.
I have been teaching private lessons on string instruments since I was in high school and I began teaching in public schools in 2007. I taught for one year in Lakewood, New Jersey and am now in my ninth year teaching strings at Keith Valley and Hatboro-Horsham High School. Since I have been here, the KV orchestra has grown from 60 students to over 100 students and the HHHS orchestra has grown from 6 students to 70 students. I really enjoy building the programs up each year to involve more students.
Through being involved in orchestra, I have met many of my best friends and even my husband! Orchestra was a very rewarding experience for me and it is my goal for you to feel the same way!
